The Inter-Parish Sports Fest (IPSF 2026) is a four-day celebration of faith, fellowship, and sportsmanship, bringing together the Syro Malabar Catholic parishes of Texas and Oklahoma under the Diocese of Chicago. Scheduled for August 6–9, 2026, the event will be proudly hosted by Divine Mercy Syro Malabar Catholic Church in collaboration with the City of Edinburg, Texas.
What began in 2014 as a small initiative to promote athletic and spiritual growth among parish youth has evolved into one of the most anticipated community gatherings in the region. IPSF 2026 will feature over 1,800 participants competing across 16 sporting categories, with an expected audience of more than 5,000 attendees.
Beyond competition, IPSF serves as a vibrant expression of unity and shared values, celebrating the Syro Malabar community’s cultural heritage, faith traditions, and commitment to nurturing the next generation. Through sports, fellowship, and community collaboration, the festival encourages teamwork, leadership, and holistic well-being—strengthening both parish and regional ties.
With the strong partnership of the City of Edinburg, IPSF 2026 extends its impact beyond the church community, engaging residents across the Rio Grande Valley through city-supported outreach, digital promotions, and civic participation.
IPSF 2026 is more than a sports festival—it’s a movement that celebrates faith in action, builds bridges across generations, and fosters enduring pride in our vibrant Syro Malabar Catholic identity.
