Our Journey

From a small dream
to a big stage.

It started in 2014 with a simple idea: give our youth a reason to show up, compete, and grow — together. Twelve years later, that idea has become a movement.

IPSF 2026 brings together ten Syro Malabar Catholic parishes from Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas, united under the Diocese of Chicago, for four days of faith, competition, and community unlike anything the Rio Grande Valley has seen.

Proudly hosted by Divine Mercy Syro Malabar Catholic Church in partnership with the City of Edinburg — this is more than a sports festival. It's a homecoming.

12 years

2014 IPSF founded as a small youth sports initiative among Syro Malabar parishes

2018 Grew to multi-parish competition spanning Texas and Oklahoma region

2022 Crossed 1,000 participants and 4,000+ attendees; cultural events added

2026 Largest IPSF ever — 1,800+ athletes, 5,000+ attendees, city partnership, expanded to Kansas

IPSF 2026 is about to be the event of the summer. We’re talking a four-day celebration of faith, fellowship, and straight-up good vibes, bringing together ten Syro Malabar Catholic parishes from Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas — all under the Diocese of Chicago. Mark your calendars: August 6–9, 2026, hosted by Divine Mercy Syro Malabar Catholic Church at the City of Edinburg, Texas. This is not a drill.

The lineup? It’s giving everything. Football, basketball, cricket, volleyball, chess, carrom, table tennis, march past — 16 events total, and every single one hits different when your whole parish is in the stands cheering you on. Whether you’re built for the court, the field, or the chessboard, there’s a place for you here.

IPSF 2026 is a whole movement, faith in action, it’s community doing what community does best, and it’s Syro Malabar pride on full display. We’re not just showing up to compete — we’re showing up for each other, for our culture, and for something way bigger than a scoreboard.
